Role Overview

Program Trading/Portfolio Trading is a pivotal business in the broader GS Execution Services franchise – which caters to a multitude of Institutional clients that include Passive Trackers, Hedge Funds, Pension Funds, Long Only and Quants. The business is aimed at offering reasonably tailored execution solutions thereby minimizing slippage vs benchmark on a basket/portfolio level and offering brokerage, liquidity (event based or otherwise) and facilitation based on client requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with willingness to learn and grow with the role.
• The candidate will be required to interact with multiple teams across business units and regions, as well as teams across various divisions
• The candidate should exhibit strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills and is encouraged to ask questions.
• Play a key role in global initiatives to drive and streamline business critical projects
• Analyze, understand, manage performance metrics of the business and be able to ensure smooth and accurate reporting of the metrics.
• Endeavor to enhance the understanding of the PT business and the broader franchise and aim to plug gaps where possible
• Assist the team with intra-day client queries/follow ups and ensure smooth EOD reporting and handover of Asia originated orders to EU/US
• Aim to generate systematic market and flow color – to help better client relationships and generate business for the Global franchise.

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree
• 1 – 3 years of work experience
• Alteryx/Tableau skills would be preferred (not mandatory)

Attributes of the successful Candidate:

• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Ability to work in a team-based environment and coordinate effectively with global colleagues
• Good understanding of MS Office applications
• Candidate should be able to work independently, demonstrate patience and an eagerness to learn
• Strong working knowledge of Excel
