Job Description for Citrix Off Campus Recruitment Drive 2022
What we’re looking for:
This is a position of an embedded SRE part of a feature team inclusive of development team, Product and Program Management. You will be part of the team that manages end to end infrastructure of a full application along with the necessary infrastructure for CI/CD. You will work with the other SREs across various infrastructure components that make up this application
Position Overview
Operates large-scale highly-available distributed systems leveraging skills in software engineering, system administration, and operations process. Responsible for deployment automation, deployment architecture, custom operations tool development, performance scalability, cost scalability, monitoring/alerting design/implementation, proactive monitoring, service availability, incident resolution, cloud networking, Azure/AWS service operation, operations analytics, secrets management, and administering 3rd party software/PaaS/infrastructure.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support everyday builds, deployments, CI
- Update existing components as per security/compliance requirements
- Support senior SREs as they design and develop new systems
- Collaborate with development team for re-architecture/new components
- Observe patterns to increase efficiency, eliminate downtime, optimize costs, and maintain performance at scale.
- Participate in the On-call support
- Troubleshoot systems, remediate issues and implement solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- 0-1 years of experience in software development or SRE/DevOps
- Linux system administration, familiarity with basic concepts
- Familiarity with one or more Object Oriented languages like Python, Ruby, #C
